NTUC vouchers of $50 each are provided monthly to needy families across the island. The families are screened and assessed before being listed on the program. The vouchers are collected by the families in person every month. About 30 families are benefitting from this program thus far.
Twice a year, a collection drive is organized in Sri Muneeswaran Temple, calling for essential items like rice, cooking oil, biscuits, beverages, etc. These items are distributed to Children’s Homes and the Food Bank Singapore, which in turn sends out the items to needy families in Singapore.
What we need
We are looking for kind souls willing to sponsor the vouchers distribution program so that we can reach out to more needy. We also need volunteers to help run the collection drives.
